We're in a messed up world... that's a fact. We spend a large portion of our money trying to prevent crime- something that ends uncountable amount of lives every year. We catch many of the criminals who commit serious offences- or at least so we think. Though it is not controlled well by laws, we humans all contribute to killing each other, and ourselves.

In the early days of the existance of mankind, lives lasted hundreds of years...not quite surprizingly since everything they used, ate, or did was natural. They had no antibiotics, so eventhough there are those who died from dieseases, those who survived just got stronger. No new virus or bacteria was formed, and dieseases were not a major problem. Nothing got people's body cells to change, so cancer also probably didnt exist, or was at least did not occur often. As new technologies came into existance, life became easier, and people depended more and more on them. With these new advances in technology, people started traveling. Many moved to foreign lands away from the medditerranian, and life changed. Different ways of living developed, and governments were formed soon, leading to the very well know hatred between some contries. Technology became more advanced. The steam engine was invented, causing new methods of transportation which caused the spread of dieseases. Soon the market for electronics flourished. Guns were made widespread, and people died. The life expectancy of the average person dropped. Foods started to be made with artificial flavoring ("natural flavoring" does not mean the food is natural) .

Now, many people die of cancer, and other dieseases. It's quite a sad sight, especially because we caused it ourselves. Every bit of pollution we smell, every bit of artificial food we eat, and every bit of radiation and radio waves we are exposed to shortens our life by a little bit. They always say a little bit does not matter, but by the looks of it, it does, because there are so many little bits. Modern technology may make life easier, but it comes at a cost, decreasing the life expectancy by a whole digit.

It is probably impossible to go back to living in the woods, and eating only natural foods and and living without a computer, but yes, the drop of life expectancy came down for a reason.
