hmm.. suicide is interesting. So many people die from it that it is almost a diesease. There have been almost a million people that have died from the "diesease." There are 15 million suicide attempts each year throught the world.
Although I'm Canadian, but I was only able to find the American suicide facts. In America, thirty thousand people die anually because of self implicted life ending methods. (also known as suicide). Around Twenty thousand homicides are commited every year, so it is also the second or third largest cause of deaths for youths in the United States.
Clearly, many people die of suicide- thousands of deaths that could have been prevented. Though it would have taken some effort, many of the suicide attempt survivors are living decent lives. The reality is, if you take the effort to just wait and endure some crap for a while, you probably won't regret it. It is worth it.
This article has been inspired by the "hold on" song by Good Charlotte. Hold on- wait. Endure some crap if you have to, but it is worth it. I don't usually write articles like this, but i just felt like it, so yeah. BYe
Space travel is great, isn't it?
Amidst the occasional deaths, many space missions are successes, just as long as they don't get destroyed by space junk put into orbit from former missions.
In 1957, the U.S.S.R. launched Sputnik 1- the first man made object to go in orbit. The space race began. Soon. Sputnik 2 goes into orbit- carrying a dog. NASA is formed soon, and more space missions began. In 1969, the Apollo program landed humans on the moon. Amazingly, after billions of dollars in costs, years in research and construction, and hundreds of channels of broadcasting on TV, there are still a few idiots that believe the whole Apollo mission was faked. http://www.lunaranomalies.com/fake-moon.htm shows some answers both the more realistic, and the dumber questions from the moon hoax advocates.
Since the Apollo days, humans have not gone farther in space. There has been unmanned probes sent out all over the galaxy, but no living humans (nor any dead humans.) However, they are looking at Mars as a future target. So far, our infamous Mars bars are still on earth, but maybe one day they will be made on Mars, as long as China doesn't take the market.
I used to think that when somebody died, they physically rose upward towards the sky- as long as they deserved to go to heaven. Heaven was described as in the sky and hell inside the core of earth by some kindergarten Sunday school teachers. If this theory is correct, then we may be able to get a free boost out of the atmosphere amidst the skyrocketing fuel prices. Just put a guy who's almost dead in the spacecraft, and wait.
A manned trip to the red planet will happen sooner or later, but until then, when a working mars-capable space vehicle is available, we will have to depend on the heaven theory, which unfortunately does not work.
