Time to choose the lesser of two evils. Exercise your supposed democratic rights by choosing which affluent son or daughter of privilege will be the next blue blood to pretend to represent the paltry concerns of the poor and middle class majority. Take extra care to make sure you choose someone who won’t forget his or her wealthy elitist friends while in office.
Go to school
Pay tens of thousands of dollars to get an education that qualifies you to work the register at a gas station. Make sure to drink a lot of beer and have a lot of sex. You might as well enjoy yourself while you can.
Treat veterans with respect
After all the patriotic hullabaloo dies down, make sure to not notice or care when federal budget cuts are announced that decimate medical and psychological services for those impressionable, employment hungry “heroes” that wound up fighting a bullshit war half war around the world for no real reason whatsoever.
Restrict immigration
The last thing you need are dirty immigrants coming to your country and messing with the job market, burdening the system, or plotting to blow something up. Never mind that many fifty-year-old immigrants will work at fast food restaurants while lazy youths refuse to because it’s “beneath them”. Forget that foreigners are so stupid that they learn two languages compared to your masterful grasp of one language - “piss poor English”. Forget that, years ago, your ancestors were dirty immigrants themselves. Forget all that and just remember: it’s your haven of freedom and equality - not theirs!
Make and spend money
Never forget that as long as you buy into a system that keeps you preoccupied with consumption, economic ambition, greed, and mistrust, you’ll never have the time, energy, or desire to care about trivial matters - such as invading foreign countries for economic gain or the mishandling of tens of millions of dollars of government sponsorship money.
Someone has to do it
Some people are born to lead and others are born to dig ditches. Never forget that rich people run the country for a reason and you dig ditches for a reason. Which is ironic being that rich politicians are often masters at shoveling shit and “the people” are supposed to be the voice of true democratic government. But enough with wasting time thinking about what you can’t change; get back to work!
Trust no one
Anyone could be a terrorist or up to no good. It’s best if you spend a lot of time concerning yourself with worrying. That way you tend not to notice the things that “are” happening to you, like the slow strangulation of your liberties.
Get plenty of exercise
Looking to flatten that stomach and lose that fat ass? There’s nothing better than slogging through the shattered wasteland of a foreign country with a fifty- pound backpack on your back and a trusty semi-automatic rifle at your side.
Fun in the sun
Unlike the wealthy elitists in government who can afford to go to expensive locales for their holidays (maybe even on your dime), you have to settle for something a little more financially practical. Your best bet is to go and bask in the sun at a nice resort in a country where you can impose your idea of a “cheap holiday” on the locals who have 98% less than you do. There’s nothing better than the financially limited people of one country exploiting the financially limited people of another country while the governments of both live like kings, is there?
Recycle it
Make sure to do your bit to help save the planet by recycling your bottles, cans, and paper. Not that it will make a realistic dent in the amount of landfill produced in a decade, but it sure will make you feel better.
Nuke ‘em
The only protection from madmen who tyrannically rule over rogue states is to make sure we have enough nuclear weapons to kill everyone and everything on the planet 100 times over. Better yet, we had better make a few more just to be safe and, while we’re at it, have someone develop a multi-billion dollar missile defense system that we can sell to other countries just like door to door insurance salesmen. As luck would have it, someone in government happens to have a friend who has a friend who just so happens to own a company that makes missile defense systems and other impressive gadgets. How much will it all cost? Do we have solid proof that all those madmen out there have nukes? Does it matter?
Go green
Everyone would like to help save the planet, stop global warming, and reduce harmful emissions produced by industry and other machines, but they’re out at the moment making sure that the billionaires that control the auto industry can comfortably afford cryogenic chambers for their families and family pets so that when the earth becomes inhabitable they can be put into deep sleep and shot into space.
What you don’t know won’t kill you
Only crazy people spend their time questioning the government. Remember that. Because you don’t want anyone to think you’re crazy, do you?
Blame it on the reds
In the past we had to do some pretty terrible things to make sure that Communism didn’t spread and threaten our freedom. It’s not our fault that we had to use other people to make sure that everyone felt safe at the mall, at the movies, and at the beach.
It’s classified
Sometimes it’s best that everyone doesn’t know the truth. That way people can feel okay about being lied to. Hell, they might even come to like it!
Life on Mars? Not likely
CBC News:Mars once had life-sustaining water: NASA
After many years of painstaking work, NASA has finally found more evidence of water on mars. They say that this is a major advancement in their mission, and that may be true, but what was the point of the whole mission anyway? From the beginning of the space program, NASA anticipated looking for life on other planets, and since Mars was one of the closest, they had the most interest in it. Now that they realize that it isn't so easy, they lower the stakes and just look for signs of life from the past. So with the EVIDENCE of water, they are one step closer to their conclusion. Unfortunately, one step is not much out of the marathon.
The next thing they need to find now is bacteria, as that is probably the most they will ever find if they are lucky. That would bring the question to "whether evolution really exists." Personally, I do not believe in evolution. Going from bacteria to human sized animals is not that easy. Certainly, at one point, the food chain would be imbalanced, and one species would overpopulate and run out of food if there is not another species larger that will control its population. Even nowadays, there have been growing discussions about the overpopulation of earth by humans. Since we are basically the highest in the food chain, not many of us are dying.
So far 820 million dollars have been spent on the rovers Spirit and opportunity. That money could have well been used here on earth too. With all the third world countries existing nowadays, it doesn't hurt to spend the money on places that need it.
So, before going too far off topic, I will conclude that NASA will not find any large forms of life on Mars.

the above link is quite interesting. its an image project on human rights and politics.
Currently, I am busy on re learning music history once more since I failed my second time. Updates will become infrequent
hmm.. suicide is interesting. So many people die from it that it is almost a diesease. There have been almost a million people that have died from the "diesease." There are 15 million suicide attempts each year throught the world.
Although I'm Canadian, but I was only able to find the American suicide facts. In America, thirty thousand people die anually because of self implicted life ending methods. (also known as suicide). Around Twenty thousand homicides are commited every year, so it is also the second or third largest cause of deaths for youths in the United States.
Clearly, many people die of suicide- thousands of deaths that could have been prevented. Though it would have taken some effort, many of the suicide attempt survivors are living decent lives. The reality is, if you take the effort to just wait and endure some crap for a while, you probably won't regret it. It is worth it.
This article has been inspired by the "hold on" song by Good Charlotte. Hold on- wait. Endure some crap if you have to, but it is worth it. I don't usually write articles like this, but i just felt like it, so yeah. BYe
Space travel is great, isn't it?
Amidst the occasional deaths, many space missions are successes, just as long as they don't get destroyed by space junk put into orbit from former missions.
In 1957, the U.S.S.R. launched Sputnik 1- the first man made object to go in orbit. The space race began. Soon. Sputnik 2 goes into orbit- carrying a dog. NASA is formed soon, and more space missions began. In 1969, the Apollo program landed humans on the moon. Amazingly, after billions of dollars in costs, years in research and construction, and hundreds of channels of broadcasting on TV, there are still a few idiots that believe the whole Apollo mission was faked. http://www.lunaranomalies.com/fake-moon.htm shows some answers both the more realistic, and the dumber questions from the moon hoax advocates.
Since the Apollo days, humans have not gone farther in space. There has been unmanned probes sent out all over the galaxy, but no living humans (nor any dead humans.) However, they are looking at Mars as a future target. So far, our infamous Mars bars are still on earth, but maybe one day they will be made on Mars, as long as China doesn't take the market.
I used to think that when somebody died, they physically rose upward towards the sky- as long as they deserved to go to heaven. Heaven was described as in the sky and hell inside the core of earth by some kindergarten Sunday school teachers. If this theory is correct, then we may be able to get a free boost out of the atmosphere amidst the skyrocketing fuel prices. Just put a guy who's almost dead in the spacecraft, and wait.
A manned trip to the red planet will happen sooner or later, but until then, when a working mars-capable space vehicle is available, we will have to depend on the heaven theory, which unfortunately does not work.
We're in a messed up world... that's a fact. We spend a large portion of our money trying to prevent crime- something that ends uncountable amount of lives every year. We catch many of the criminals who commit serious offences- or at least so we think. Though it is not controlled well by laws, we humans all contribute to killing each other, and ourselves.
In the early days of the existance of mankind, lives lasted hundreds of years...not quite surprizingly since everything they used, ate, or did was natural. They had no antibiotics, so eventhough there are those who died from dieseases, those who survived just got stronger. No new virus or bacteria was formed, and dieseases were not a major problem. Nothing got people's body cells to change, so cancer also probably didnt exist, or was at least did not occur often. As new technologies came into existance, life became easier, and people depended more and more on them. With these new advances in technology, people started traveling. Many moved to foreign lands away from the medditerranian, and life changed. Different ways of living developed, and governments were formed soon, leading to the very well know hatred between some contries. Technology became more advanced. The steam engine was invented, causing new methods of transportation which caused the spread of dieseases. Soon the market for electronics flourished. Guns were made widespread, and people died. The life expectancy of the average person dropped. Foods started to be made with artificial flavoring ("natural flavoring" does not mean the food is natural) .
Now, many people die of cancer, and other dieseases. It's quite a sad sight, especially because we caused it ourselves. Every bit of pollution we smell, every bit of artificial food we eat, and every bit of radiation and radio waves we are exposed to shortens our life by a little bit. They always say a little bit does not matter, but by the looks of it, it does, because there are so many little bits. Modern technology may make life easier, but it comes at a cost, decreasing the life expectancy by a whole digit.
It is probably impossible to go back to living in the woods, and eating only natural foods and and living without a computer, but yes, the drop of life expectancy came down for a reason.
